2013's final adventures. Hello 2014!

2013 What a year it has been!

Dreamscape

We were so lucky to go on so many awesome climbing adventures over the last 365 days.
From Patagonia to Elbsandstein in Germany, Pennsylvania bouldering to  the Bishop California
AAC event,  Red Rocks Nevada to Ouray Colorado ice… Psyched!

15,000 routes!

I hope 2014 provides us all with much health, wealth, and partners for many
adventures around the globe.

Here is my final 2013 (I know it is 2014 now) post.  A few random pictures of rocky, icy goodness
from the final month of the year.  Enjoy!

Howdy Folks!                                             Welcome to Red Rocks!                            From the Burro Family

Day1 - Depart plane, get car, get beer, simul-climb 5.8 route

Day2 - Simul-climb the classic Olive Oil 5.7 almost in 1pitch.  The route is 4 pitches long traditionally.

Day3 - Sport & Trad at the Tiger Stripe Wall, and DogWall.

We managed to get in some great   5.10R climbs this day!

Clear skies & cool air.

Random climber on a great 5.10 sport route.

Day4 out at the rocks…  Our Nephew is on his first climbing adventure!

Mr. Natural seemed to have a great time.

Jack up high on the climb now

Later that day we went to check out some petroglyphs.

And right across the street was a cave I had remembered from years ago.
Jack & Dylan having some fun.

Emerging from the bowels of the earth...

Day5 out at the rocks.

Liz has a great outfit on for photos!

Now where is that protection at??

Liz going for it on the first pitch of the Skylight Chimney, Ouray CO

I got pitch2 up in the deep chimney above.  Super fun, and a full 60m pitch.
The chimney pitch is always super fun!!  Go get it if you have not...

We did the route as a party of three.  Here is Carol Kotchek topping out of
the chimney.  This was her first multi-pitch ice climb, and a excellent one!

Liz fired up the third pitch.  Carol is just topping out.
This was our last climb to close out the 2013 year!

Cheers,
Cor
